Black Diamond is a brand new 2008, 39′ Jeanneau sailboat our family purchased the spring of 2008. My wife Roxane and I have 2 wonderful boys, 5 and 9 years old, Alexander and Thomas. We have been boating ever since we were dating, and our boys were basically born on a boat. They know no other life, other than boating and cottaging in the summer months. In 2008 we decided to extend our season by heading south with Black Diamond. Our final destination the Bahamas and perhaps a little further.

Wow… look at you guys. Reading your blog
has taken me down memory lane. I am so happy
for you, Roxanne and the boys. I spent my
childhood racing and cruising the Great Lakes
and Bahamas with my family so I know how
wonderful your journey is. Jamie says a big
hello to Thomas and Alexander. Merry Christmas
to you all.. were thinking about you.

We came around whale in 3-5 the other day and had our hands full. Power boat however.

Hope to view your progress as you follow the waves south along the route we were on 18 years ago. Maybe even see you in Barcelona in a few years.
